Ho-Oh · Celebrations, what to know.
About the Ho-Oh card
Ho-Oh is card 1 of 25 in Celebrations, released in October 2021, a Rare. It is a Basic Fire-type with 130 HP.
As a Basic Pokémon, Ho-Oh needs no prior evolution to put into play, which made it a practical card in the era's decks.
Illustrated by Kouki Saitou.
The Pokédex entry printed on Ho-Oh reads: "It will reveal itself before a pure-hearted Trainer by shining its bright, rainbow-colored wings."

What is Ho-Oh worth?
Ho-Oh is a non-holo Rare. In Celebrations, value concentrates in the holo rares, so a Ho-Oh trades modestly, though a clean, well-centered 1st Edition copy in PSA 10 is scarcer than the print run suggests and carries a real premium. Check the live price above for the figure by grade.
Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Ho-Oh before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
Non-holo Rares like Ho-Oh are easier on surface but no kinder on centering. These cards were less protected than the holos, so high-grade Ho-Oh survivors can be scarcer than expected, with edge whitening the usual cap.
If you are collecting Ho-Oh
For Ho-Oh, check centering by eye, edge whitening on all four sides, and surface under angled light. Submission math on Ho-Oh rarely works unless the card has independent demand.
