Parasect · Lost Origin, what to know.
About the Parasect card
Parasect is card 5 of 217 in Lost Origin, released in September 2022, a Rare. It is a Stage 1 Grass-type with 120 HP.
As a Stage 1, it evolves from Paras, which places Parasect deeper in its line and means most collectors hold it alongside the cards it evolves from.
Illustrated by Pani Kobayashi.
The Pokédex entry printed on Parasect reads: "The bug is mostly dead, with the mushroom on its back having become the main body. If the mushroom comes off, the bug stops moving."
About Parasect in the Pokémon world
The fully evolved Paras. Larger mushrooms; in-game lore suggests the mushrooms have taken control of the crab. Jungle Rare Parasect has thin standalone demand.
What is Parasect worth?
Parasect is a non-holo Rare. In Lost Origin, value concentrates in the holo rares, so a Parasect trades modestly, though a clean, well-centered 1st Edition copy in PSA 10 is scarcer than the print run suggests and carries a real premium. Check the live price above for the figure by grade.
Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Parasect before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
On Parasect, look at the corners and the framed border first. Non-holo Rares took more handling than the chase holos, so a sharp, centered copy of Parasect in a true PSA 10 is harder to find than the print run suggests.
If you are collecting Parasect
For Parasect, check centering by eye, edge whitening on all four sides, and surface under angled light. Submission math on Parasect rarely works unless the card has independent demand.
