As a Stage 1, it evolves from Sabrina's Venonat, which places Sabrina's Venomoth deeper in its line and means most collectors hold it alongside the cards it evolves from.

Sabrina is the Psychic-type Gym Leader of Saffron City, remembered for her cold, telekinetic intensity in the anime. Sabrina's Venomoth is part of that themed lineup.
