Salamence · Evolving Skies, what to know.
About the Salamence card
Salamence is card 109 of 237 in Evolving Skies, released in August 2021, a Rare Holo. It is a Stage 2 Dragon-type with 170 HP.
As a Stage 2, it evolves from Shelgon, which places Salamence deeper in its line and means most collectors hold it alongside the cards it evolves from.

The card's flavor text gives Salamence a line of lore: "Thanks to its fervent wishes, the cells in its body finally mutated, and at last it has its heart's desire—wings."
What is Salamence worth?
Salamence is a holo rare, one of the cards that holds Evolving Skies's value. The rarity tier decides most of it, since the same card prints at several tiers with very different prices. In top-grade 1st Edition, Evolving Skies holos range from the mid hundreds for the lesser cards up to the set's marquee chase; raw and Unlimited copies trade for a fraction of that. Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Salamence before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
Grading Salamence comes down to the holo surface and the borders. The era's foil scratches easily, so even a pack-fresh Salamence can drop from a 10 to a 9 on a single hairline. Inspect the window at an angle and the corners against the frame.
If you are collecting Salamence
Buying Salamence well means pricing the exact print and grade, not the card name. Match the rarity tier to the comp before you buy. Always see the holo surface in good light first.
