Sharpedo · Evolving Skies, what to know.
About the Sharpedo card
Sharpedo is card 36 of 237 in Evolving Skies, released in August 2021, a Rare. It is a Stage 1 Water-type with 120 HP.
As a Stage 1, it evolves from Carvanha, which places Sharpedo deeper in its line and means most collectors hold it alongside the cards it evolves from.
Illustrated by Kazuma Koda.
The card's flavor text gives Sharpedo a line of lore: "It drinks in seawater and jets it from its rear to propel itself. It's very sensitive to the scent of blood."
What is Sharpedo worth?
Sharpedo is a non-holo Rare. In Evolving Skies, value concentrates in the holo rares, so a Sharpedo trades modestly, though a clean, well-centered 1st Edition copy in PSA 10 is scarcer than the print run suggests and carries a real premium. Check the live price above for the figure by grade.
Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Sharpedo before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
On Sharpedo, look at the corners and the framed border first. Non-holo Rares took more handling than the chase holos, so a sharp, centered copy of Sharpedo in a true PSA 10 is harder to find than the print run suggests.
If you are collecting Sharpedo
For Sharpedo, check centering by eye, edge whitening on all four sides, and surface under angled light. Submission math on Sharpedo rarely works unless the card has independent demand.
