Trevenant · Lost Origin, what to know.
About the Trevenant card
Numbered 17 of 217 in Lost Origin, released in September 2022, Trevenant is a Rare Holo, a Stage 1 Grass-type carrying 120 HP.
It evolves from Phantump, so Trevenant is a later-stage card that set-builders usually slot into a full evolution run rather than buy alone.
Illustrated by Yuya Oka.
Printed on the card, the Trevenant Pokédex entry reads: "People fear it due to a belief that it devours any who try to cut down trees in its forest, but to the Pokémon it shares its woods with, it's kind."
What is Trevenant worth?
Trevenant is a holo rare, one of the cards that holds Lost Origin's value. The rarity tier decides most of it, since the same card prints at several tiers with very different prices. In top-grade 1st Edition, Lost Origin holos range from the mid hundreds for the lesser cards up to the set's marquee chase; raw and Unlimited copies trade for a fraction of that. The live market price above shows the current figure by grade.
Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Trevenant before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
Trevenant lives and dies on its holo surface in grading. The grass foil catches light at angles that hide hairlines in a flat photo, so tilt it under a lamp, then measure the borders, where modern centering is the second-most-common grade cap.
If you are collecting Trevenant
For Trevenant, variant comes before condition. Confirm the exact rarity tier on the Trevenant, since the spread between tiers is wide. Demand a clear photo of the Trevenant holo for any raw purchase.
