Gengar · Lost Origin, what to know.
About the Gengar card
Gengar is card 66 of 217 in Lost Origin, released in September 2022, a Rare Holo. It is a Stage 2 Psychic-type with 120 HP.
As a Stage 2, it evolves from Haunter, which places Gengar deeper in its line and means most collectors hold it alongside the cards it evolves from.
Illustrated by Narumi Sato.
The card's flavor text gives Gengar a line of lore: "On the night of a full moon, if shadows move on their own and laugh, it must be Gengar's doing."

What is Gengar worth?
Gengar is a holo rare, one of the cards that holds Lost Origin's value. The rarity tier decides most of it, since the same card prints at several tiers with very different prices. In top-grade 1st Edition, Lost Origin holos range from the mid hundreds for the lesser cards up to the set's marquee chase; raw and Unlimited copies trade for a fraction of that. The live market price above shows the current figure by grade.
Print variants and how to spot them
Confirm the print and finish on Gengar before pricing it, since variant and rarity set the market more than the card name alone.
Grading and condition
Expect the holo window to set the grade on Gengar. Print misregistration and fine scratches in the psychic foil are the usual reasons a copy lands at a 9, and edge whitening against the frame is the next thing a grader notes.
If you are collecting Gengar
Buying Gengar well means pricing the exact print and grade, not the card name. Match the rarity tier to the comp before you buy. Always see the holo surface in good light first.
